BikiniExpert is an independent editorial blog about bikinis and swimwear. We write practical, honest guides to help you find swimwear that fits well, feels comfortable and suits the way you actually spend your time in the water, whether that’s swimming laps, chasing kids along the shoreline or reading a book by the pool.
We’re not a swimwear brand and we don’t sell anything ourselves. Our job is to explain how swimwear works, from top styles and bottom cuts to fabrics, sizing and care, so you can shop with more confidence and fewer returns.
Our mission
Shopping for swimwear online can be frustrating. Sizes vary from brand to brand, product photos rarely show how a piece fits different bodies, and it’s hard to know which features really matter. We want to make that process easier.
Our mission is simple: help you find swimwear that fits and feels good, whatever your shape or size. Every body is a beach body, and our guides are written for all of them, including larger busts, petite frames, long torsos, curvy hips and everything in between. We focus on fit, comfort and function rather than chasing a single look.
How we choose what to recommend
Our content is guided by a few principles:
- Editorial independence. We decide what to write about and what to recommend. Brands can’t pay to be included in our guides or to change what we say about them.
- Research-based advice. Our guides draw on well-established knowledge about fabrics, construction, fit and measurement, along with information published by manufacturers. We don’t make up testing claims or statistics.
- Practical over trendy. A swimsuit should stay in place, hold up to sun and chlorine, and feel comfortable for hours. That matters more to us than whatever is fashionable this month.
- Kept up to date. Swimwear changes from season to season, so we review and update our guides when information changes or when we find a better way to explain something.
If you’re just getting started, our swimwear size guide and our guide to choosing a bikini for your body type are good places to begin.
How we make money
BikiniExpert is free to read. To keep it that way, some of our pages contain affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer, at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate commissions never decide what we recommend. We only point you toward styles and products we believe are genuinely useful, and we’re happy to tell you when something isn’t worth it. You can read the full details in our affiliate disclosure.
